Demos and applications Session

The Demos and Applications session of SBBD 2022 is a discussion forum for exchanging experiences and presenting innovative solutions. We invite submissions from researchers, developers, and professionals, both in the academy and industry, interested in practical and functional solutions for relevant problems involving data and information management technology.

Submission Instructions

Authors must submit a paper of up to 6 pages, including images and references, describing the main features of their demonstration/application.

Each paper will be analyzed by at least three members of the program committee for originality, practical reach, technical contribution, and presentation. Along with the submitted paper, the authors are strongly encouraged to provide a link to a demonstration video (screencast) of up to 5 minutes in length, presenting the demonstration/application. This resource will be highly appreciated and considered as a distinctive characteristic in the review process.

Papers must be written in Portuguese or English and formatted according to the SBC template. Only electronic submissions in PDF format will be considered. The link for the demonstration video or the online version of the demonstration must be informed in the footnote on the first page of the paper (at first mention). Please upload your submission by the deadline through the JEMS website.

Questions regarding submissions should be directed to parros@icmc.usp.br with the prefix “[SBBD2022 Demos]” in the subject line. At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register and attend the conference to present the work. Accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings of the SBBD 2022 Satellite Events.
