Demos

The Demos and Applications session of SBBD 2024 is a discussion forum for exchanging experiences and presenting innovative solutions for data management. We invite submissions from researchers, developers, and professionals interested in practical and functional solutions for relevant problems involving data and information management technology.

Submissions

Instructions for Submission

Authors must submit a paper of up to 6 pages (click here for Overleaf LaTeX template), including images and references, describing the main features of their demonstration/application. Submissions to the demonstration and applications track are NOT subject to double blind reviewing. The author name(s) and affiliation(s) must be present in the submitted article.

Each paper will be analyzed by at least three members of the program committee for originality, practical reach, technical contribution, and presentation. Along with the submitted paper, the authors are strongly encouraged to provide a link to a demonstration video (screencast) of up to 5 minutes in length, presenting the demonstration/application. This resource will be highly appreciated and considered as a distinctive characteristic in the review process. Additionally, authors are strongly encouraged to provide the source code and/or single binary/executable in a public repository (e.g. GitHub or BitBucket).

Papers must be written in Portuguese or English and formatted according to the SBC template. Only electronic submissions in PDF format will be considered. The link for the demonstration video or the online version of the demonstration must be informed in the footnote on the first page of the paper (at first mention). Please upload your submission by the deadline through the JEMS website (click here to redirect) .

Questions regarding submissions should be directed to dimas.cassimiro@ufape.edu.br with the prefix “[SBBD2024 Demos]” in the subject line. At least one author of each accepted paper must register and attend the conference to present the paper. Accepted works will be published in the Proceedings of SBBD 2024 (Satellite Events).
