Short Courses

The SBBD short courses are short-term events aimed at presenting an introductory or advanced view of current research and/or technology topics of interest to the Database community. This gives participants the opportunity to learn about a new subject related to their field of activity and to extract elements that can be applied in their scientific studies and/or professional activities.

The short courses should last 4 hours and be presented in Portuguese or English. The target audience includes undergraduate and graduate students and professionals in the field in general.

Support for Facilitating the Participation of One of the Authors

If resources are available, one of the authors may receive support for travel and lodging to present the short course. In the absence of sufficient resources for all selected authors, the event organization will establish criteria for the distribution of supports to cover as many proposals as possible, informing the authors during the submission of the final version. At least one author of the short course must register for the symposium, preferably the presenter.
