Welcome to LARS 2019
We invite Latin American students, researchers, and practitioners to participate in the 1st ACM Latin American School on Recommender Systems (LARS 2019), to be held in Fortaleza, Brazil, during October 10-12, 2019. LARS 2019 is co-sponsored by ACM SIGCHI via its conference development fund for the ACM Conference Series on Recommender Systems.
LARS 2019 aims to enable students to learn about modern research challenges and methods in recommender systems; to stimulate scientific research and collaboration in the field; and to grow a community of researchers, students, and industry professionals working on recommender systems across Latin America. The School will offer invited lectures by leading international researchers on foundational as well as trendy topics in recommender systems, an industry session, and a research consortium for selected graduate students.
