The Demos and Applications Session of SBBD 2026 is a forum for discussion, experience exchange, and the presentation of innovative solutions. We invite submissions from researchers, developers, and professionals from both academia and industry who are interested in practical and functional solutions to relevant problems involving data and information management technologies.
Abstract submission deadline: April 4, 2026
Paper submission deadline: April 11, 2026
Author notification: May 16, 2026
Final version submission: May 30, 2026
Authors must submit a paper of up to 6 pages, including figures and references, describing the main characteristics of their demo/application. Submissions to the Demos and Applications Session are not subject to double-blind review. The author name(s) and affiliation(s) must be included in the submitted paper.
Each paper will be reviewed by at least three members of the Program Committee with respect to originality, practical scope, technical contribution, and presentation. Along with the submitted paper, authors are strongly encouraged to provide a link to a demonstration video (screencast) of up to 5 minutes, presenting the demo/application. This material will be highly appreciated and considered a distinguishing feature during the review process. In addition, authors are strongly encouraged to make the source code and/or a single binary/executable available in a version-controlled repository (e.g., GitHub or Bitbucket).
Papers must be written in Portuguese or English and formatted according to the SBC template (click here to access the LaTeX template). Only electronic submissions in PDF format will be considered. The link to the demonstration video and/or the online repository of the demo must be provided as a footnote on the first page of the paper (at its first mention). Please upload your submission by the deadline through the JEMS submission system (click here to be redirected).
The use of generative AI tools (such as LLMs) must be explicitly declared by the authors at submission time, briefly indicating their purpose (e.g., language revision, assistance with text structuring, generation of examples). Full responsibility for the content remains with the human authors (including verification of all bibliographic references), in accordance with the SBC Code of Conduct for Authors.
At least one author of each accepted paper must register for and attend the conference to present the work. Accepted papers will be published in the Extended Proceedings of SBBD 2026.
