CALL FOR WORKSHOPS

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Workshop proposal submission: April 7, 2025, April 14, 2025

  • Proposal acceptance notification: April 21, 2025 April 28, 2025

  • Workshop description and website URL submission: April 30, 2025 May 07, 2025

  • Final version submission: August 4, 2025
    (including all accepted papers and a summary of the workshop)

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

We encourage potential workshop organizers to submit proposals for interactive events, focusing on in-depth analysis and innovative approaches to emerging database topics.

Workshop proposals should be 3 to 5 pages long (in PDF format) and must include the following information:

  • Workshop title

  • Topics of interest

  • Relevance to the main conference themes

  • Format and duration (half-day or full-day)

  • Proposed program committee (names, emails, and affiliations)

  • Expected number of submissions and participants

  • Expected number of accepted papers

Each proposal must be accompanied by a short CV for each organizer (maximum 2 pages per person), including a photo, brief bio highlighting experience in event organization, and any available information from previous editions of the proposed workshop, especially regarding submission and registration numbers.

Please note that at least one of the workshop organizers must register for SBBD 2025 and attend the conference, at a minimum during the workshop.

For accepted workshops, the paper submission and author notification dates will be defined by the organizers but must align with the important dates listed in this call.

“[SBBD2025-Workshops] Workshop Proposal”

SELECTION PROCESS

Workshop proposals will be evaluated based on their quality, alignment with SBBD’s main topics, potential to attract participants, opportunities for debate and discussion, and the organizers’ experience. Accepted workshop organizers are also encouraged to invite speakers to promote participant interaction and discussion.
