We recommend visiting Praia do Futuro during the day. At night, the beach is mostly lively on Thursdays, when the famous “Quinta do Caranguejo” takes place – a crab night featuring live music and comedy shows.

 Local tip: The rooms are dated but spacious, offering sea view. The breakfast is good and the pool area is excellent. Located next to the fish market, the hotel’s location on Beira Mar Avenue isn’t the best, but it provides great value for money.
  • Hotel Praia Centro ()
 Local tip: Located near Beira Mar Avenue, with good accommodations, a nice breakfast, a great pool and excellent value for money.

  • Ibis ()
 Local tip: Located near Beira Mar, offering great value for money.
  • Ibis Budget ()
 Local tip: The rooms are quite small, but the price is reasonable. The location, however, is not the best.

Beach Park (25 km de Fortaleza)

One of the largest water parks in Latin America, located just minutes from Fortaleza. You can visit the park, stay at one of the hotels in the complex or simply enjoy the beautiful Porto das Dunas beach.

  • Local tip: If you book an Airbnb within one of the Beach Park hotels (Acqua, Wellness, Suites or Oceani), you can access the hotel infrastructure (including restaurants) and enter the water park one hour before general opening time — no lines!

Quixadá (168km de Fortaleza)

An enchanting destination in the heart of Ceará’s backlands. Surrounded by towering rock formations and scenic trails, it’s a perfect mix of adventure and contemplation. It’s the home of the Information Technology Campus of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC).


  • Local tip: Visit the Açude do Cedro, admire the iconic Pedra da Galinha Choca and enjoy an unforgettable sunset among the rocks — simply magical!

Guaramiranga (106km de Fortaleza)

A charming city in the Serra de Baturité, known for its mild climate and Atlantic Forest vegetation. It’s the perfect destination for those seeking tranquility, delicious cuisine, scenic hikes and refreshing waterfalls.

  • Local tip: Stay in a cozy inn downtown or nestled in nature. Visit Pico Alto — Ceará’s highest point at 1,115 meters — perfect for watching the sunset above the clouds – and Jesuit Monastery, a very historic spot.

Região do Cariri (cerca de 500km de Fortaleza)

Located in the southern part of Ceará, the Cariri region is rich in history and spirituality with Juazeiro do Norte, Crato and Barbalha as its main cities.
