The event consists of Workshops and Lectures given by experienced researchers and presentations of Full Papers, Short Papers, and Extended Abstracts. The WESAAC is of great importance as a national event in this area, aiming to prepare future generations of researchers and to disseminate their current projects. Furthermore, WESAAC aims to be a forum for discussing work at all levels, including undergraduate, MSc, and PhD projects currently being conducted. The <strong>XIX WESAAC<\/strong> is part of the 35th Brazilian Conference on Intelligent Systems (BRACIS).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>TOPICS OF INTEREST<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Papers submitted to the event should address topics related to autonomous agents or multi-agent systems, such as (but not restricted to):<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Agent architectures and theories (BDI, belief revision, automated reasoning);<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Agent organizations, societal issues, normative systems, etc.;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Agent communication;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Agents in embedded and robotic systems;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Agent-based software development (programming languages, platforms, tools, methodologies);<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applications of agents and multi-agent systems;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Automated planning in agent systems;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cooperation\/coordination (negotiation, argumentation, reputation);<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Machine learning in agent systems;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Social simulations and agent-based simulation;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Specification and verification of multi-agent systems (formal).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>ADDITIONAL INFORMATION<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For more information visit the WESAAC page avaliable at <a href=\"https:\/\/sol.sbc.org.br\/index.php\/wesaac\/issue\/archive\">https:\/\/sol.sbc.org.br\/index.php\/wesaac\/issue\/archive<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>CALL FOR PAPERS\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<h3><b>PAPER FORMAT AND SUBMISSION<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two separate tracks have been created for paper submission: (i) full papers and (ii) short papers (i.e., extended abstracts).<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Full papers, reporting work with solid results, must have at most twelve (12) pages, including text, references, appendices, tables, and figures.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Short papers, reporting ongoing work or position papers, must have between six (6) and eight (8) pages. Short papers will be presented orally in plenary sessions or poster sessions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Articles may be written either in Portuguese or English. Papers written in Portuguese must have titles and abstracts in English. All manuscripts should be prepared using the SBC article style (&lt;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sbc.org.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/modelosparapublicaodeartigos.zip\">https:\/\/www.sbc.org.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/modelosparapublicaodeartigos.zip<\/a>&gt;), and those that do not follow the formatting guidelines might be rejected without review.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Papers must be submitted through CMT3 using the following URL: <a href=\"https:\/\/cmt3.research.microsoft.com\/WESAAC2025\">https:\/\/cmt3.research.microsoft.com\/WESAAC2025<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The review process will be double-blind (authors\u2019 names and institutions must be omitted in the submitted papers). All submissions will be reviewed by at least two experts in the field. Authors of accepted papers will be invited to present their work in an oral presentation or a poster session. All accepted papers will likely be published electronically in the WESAAC Series of the SBC Open Lib \u2013 SOL, avaliable at <a href=\"https:\/\/sol.sbc.org.br\/index.php\/wesaac\/issue\/archive\">https:\/\/sol.sbc.org.br\/index.php\/wesaac\/issue\/archive<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There will be no distinction between papers presented in oral or poster format in the proceedings.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>BEST PAPERS<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 3 best research papers from WESAAC 2025 will be awarded with a certificate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 3 best papers by undergraduate students will be invited to submit an extended version to the Revista Eletr\u00f4nica de Inicia\u00e7\u00e3o Cient\u00edfica (REIC) &lt;https:\/\/journals-sol.sbc.org.br\/index.php\/reic\/about&gt;.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>ATTENTION\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Generative AI models (including Chat-GPT, BARD, LLaMA, Gemini, etc.) or similar LLMs do not meet the article authorship criteria to be accepted into WESAAC 2025. However, we encourage articles that describe research on or involving such advanced AI models and tools.
