Florian\u00f3polis (or simply Floripa) is the host city for SBBD 2024 and one of the most beautiful state capitals in Brazil! Want a quick rundown on what to see in Floripa?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, let\u2019s get our bearings! SBBD 2024 takes place at the Majestic Palace<\/strong> hotel, located on the most beautiful avenue in the city: Avenida Beira-Mar Norte<\/strong>! Check out the map below and tips for nearby attractions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beiramar Shopping:<\/strong> located right across from the Majestic hotel. A great option for dining and shopping;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avenida Beira-Mar Norte:<\/strong> ideal for a walk and beautiful photos. You can rent a bike to cover longer distances. Bars and restaurants are available along the avenue. The photo beside shows the shopping center and the avenue from the top of the hotel;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trapiche da Beira-Mar Norte:<\/strong> the location of the Beira-Mar Norte Catamaran<\/em> (the venue for the SBBD 2024 dinner). On Sundays during the day, there is a craft and food fair.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Herc\u00edlio Luz Bridge:<\/strong> one of the main landmarks of the city. The distance from the hotel to the bridge is 2.7 km. For those who enjoy walking, it\u2019s a beautiful stroll along Beira-Mar Norte. On Sundays, the bridge is closed to traffic, allowing pedestrians to walk across! There\u2019s a souvenir shop at the island end of the bridge;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Historic Center:<\/strong> an area that includes Pra\u00e7a XV de Novembro with its centuries-old fig tree, the Historical Museum, the Cathedral, Pra\u00e7a da Alf\u00e2ndega, and the Public Market, among other attractions. Here are some suggestions: Jurer\u00ea Internacional (calm waters and S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 da Ponta Grossa fort), Santinho (trails and rock carvings), Lagoa da Concei\u00e7\u00e3o (viewpoints, dining, nightlife, and boat tours), Joaquina (dunes, sandboarding, and surfing), Arma\u00e7\u00e3o (seaside hills and natural pools), and Lagoinha do Leste (hiking, panoramic views, and a wild beach).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
