Short papers must be original, and previously unpublished submissions in data management theory, technology, or practice. Submissions in this category should present research results and discussion in any of the SBBD topics of interest. SBBD invites short papers according to the following equally-important categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>RESEARCH<\/strong>: Scientific papers with contributions to the research in the area of \u200b\u200bSBBD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>VISION<\/strong>: Vision papers should present new problems, new application domains, or new methodologies that are likely to stimulate significant new research and discussions. Vision papers are supposed to convince the audience that the idea at hand is valid and worth listening to, without the need to present completed research work and\/or validated results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>INDUSTRIAL or APPLICATION<\/strong>: Industrial papers present novel real-world applications of data management systems and experience in applying recent research advances to real-world problems. Real-world problems may arise from the Industry, Society, Government, Scientific Community, or other kinds of companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"full-papers\">Submission Instructions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At the time of submission, full papers <strong>must include a category tag<\/strong> as a prefix to the title of the submission such as \u201c[Research] A new method for P\u201c, \u201c[Vision] Data Management in Years Ahead\u201d; \u201c[Industrial or Application] Data management in the light of the Company C Challenge\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SBBD short papers must be written in Portuguese or English and not exceed 6 pages, according to the SBC template. Short papers submitted to SBBD must not have been simultaneously submitted to any other forum (conference or journal), nor have already been published elsewhere. The acceptance of a paper implies that at least one of its authors will register for the symposium to present it.&nbsp; Papers must be submitted by the deadline through the <a href=\"https:\/\/jems.sbc.org.br\/jems2\/index.php?r=conference\/main&amp;c=4118\">JEMS website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Submitted short papers will undergo a &#8221;double-blind&#8221; reviewing process and be reviewed based on originality, relevance, technical soundness, and clarity of presentation.
